Who am I, anyway? 

My name is Nicole Steele and I love stories. Especially love stories. Especially sexy love stories. I've been obsessed with reading and writing since I was about five years old, and I have been obsessed with starting and running my own business for almost as long. I do not live in a tiny house, or a van, or on a boat, although those kinds of videos are my favorite thing to watch on YouTube. I live with two cats and my significant other, who also loves stories, and though he does not love love stories quite as much as I do, he still generously gives feedback on each and every single thing I write. The Candy Store would not be possible without him and a few of my dearest friends.

The Candy Store is the name under which I publish sweet & sexy romance. 

Origin Story

In November of 2019 I decided to quit my day job and work part-time. When I made the switch it was not because I planned to start writing. No, it was simply that I had been getting less and less satisfied in my full-time position, until finally one day I took the leap and applied for a part-time gig that looked interesting. It wasn’t until I got to the interview and learned that the hours of the position had changed from mornings to afternoons that I really knew what I was about to do. When my would-be boss asked if the change in schedule would be ok, I calmly and professionally said “Yeah, sure,” when what I really wanted to do was get up and scream, “OHMYGOD, that’s perfect! If I work in the afternoon I can get up and write in the mornings!”
